He was so far lost there was no hope of finding help. :: What was that creature that woke him in the night? Strange and thin seemingly covered in grass. It didn't matter now. What mattered was getting as far away from here as possible. He stopped to catch his breath. His heartbeat had reached his ears and the loud pattern blocked out his hearing. Panic rose as he realized he couldn't tell if the monster was near. He began to run harder than before out of endless paranoia. Was he ever going to get out of this madness? Just as he found a clearing he tripped over himself and fell into a pool of cold sticky mud. Frustration and fear rose as he twisted about in the mud pool. :: He Laughed outloud at himself for acting so childish. Sighing, he stood up carefully and looked around the now calm forest. He wondered how far he had ran and when the forest had become so beautiful. The monster certainly had to be quite far behind. Just as he seemed to reach a sense of calmness a *crack* of a branch tore through the silence. :: Turning, the boy saw his fate inching closer. A deafening hiss filled the air and the boy was never seen from again.
