1263 The Coming of the Elves SuperZac Long ago, in the ancient days of the world, this fair land of Aegis was bleak and barren. No grass shielded the soil and no tree cleansed the air. So it was, and so it would still lik ely be had it not been for the Elves. It was a hot day when their first ships arrived; fair ships with large gray sails that moved like fluid with the wind. The first brigade of ships landed at what is now known as Laurelin. And their great King, who's name was so beautiful that it is now impossible to utter, leapt out of the ship and landed on the dry earth. "This land shows much promise," he said, and with that, he knelt down, said a few words of the ancient magic, and a Tree started to grow from the spot. At first it was a sapling like any ordinary tree. But by the time the sun was low on the horizon, it had grown nearly ten feet tall, and it' s branches were enough to shelter the Elf-children that night. So it was that, from that first tree an entire forest was born. The other elves put their magic to use as well when they arrived, making the flowers and the grass. In less than a year the entire city of Laurelin and grown right out of the ground. And while none now remember those times, (for time ravages even those who are immortal), all Elves possess a great love for the plants and trees. So it was that the fair Elves came to Aegis, and turned it from desert wastland into the beautiful land you see before you today. All races of Aegis are in the Elve's debt for this act, but many a wise elf has claimed that the debt has already been paid in full.
