1411 The History of Tetsuya's Seat of Knowledge Hyperblock In the near past of the lands :: of Aegis there once lived a man, :: whose name was Daichi. He possessed a farm in the :: very eastern wilderness of Oren. :: It is told that the nearest settlement was thousands of :: ells far away towards South :: which was the young town of Whisper Isle. Other rumors say that :: the nearest town was the very beginning of today's Alstion Town. Daichi however was :: married to a truly beautiful woman who was called Miharu. The couple was blessed with :: four children, three of which were boys and one was a girl. Their names were Isamu, Kano, :: Tetsuya and Mitsuko. The whole family lived peacefully on a piece of land where :: they cultivated true pillars of sugar cane next to large fields of, honestly, two ells high wheat :: capable to nourish not only their family but also a whole peripheral area of the Whisper Isle. :: And so the family lived on and the children grew as Isamu developed a real :: brave personality, exploring the neighbouring planes and never recoiled from solving :: a conflict with a fight. Kano however was of a different kind. It was the water, that he called his true home. Rumors tell that he could fly through the water and it is said that Kano, :: or the Krugmar Kannonball like the Orcs used to say, could travel the distance between the coast of Sanjezai amd the town of Whisper Isle in only 1/8 of one day. Mitsuko, the daughter, had such a bright and lively character that every room she entered seemed to shine. She was talented in fishing. Sons and daughters of Orc families tell us about a girl that once caught fish in the great lakes of Krugmar far north of Sanjezai and that girl brought boys with her so they could carry the baskets filled with tens of thousands of lots of fish home. The third son Tetsuya was the closest to his father. Daichi had developed and early interest into the beauties and wonders of Aegis' nature. Tetsuya took ober his passion soon and began to study these laws, of whoch his father had spoken. His effort was soon to be rewarded with success and by utilising these laws Tetsuya early found technical applies. He built complex machines and mechanisms that were supposed to protect the family's land from the hostile looting hordes of Krugmar. And so the children grew up and reached a mature age. But soon the talents of Daichi and Miharu 's sons and daughter would cause a stir in the Orc towns and villages. Large groups of outlaws gathered, convinced that there had to be a secret Oren settlement near the borders of Krugmar. Humans always acuumulate wealth. Wealth that would empower the families of the Orc villages. Wealth which would allow these villages to turn into great towns and make all their people and economy flourish. So groups of hundreds of Orcs gathered to fight against the Oren settlement and so they headed North-East to the great pillar mountains in the planes in the far East of Oren. Thus, it occured one day that Kano who was doing his morning swim heard the dull noise of large feet pounding the soft ground and so he decided to swim South-West to investigate and find out the source of that strange noise. His heart stopped when he saw hundreds and more Orcs carrying heavy weaponry and armory heading straight towards his beloved family's farm. He swam as fast as he could back home to warn everybody. But even though he tried as hard as possible, it was already too late. A scout had already discovered the young Kan as he was swimming, the Orc drew his bow and so Kano was the first child of Daichi to be killed by the horde. Mitsuko who was fishing in the farm's pier was the second one hearing the Orcs' march. After only seconds the noise turned into the terrible sound of hundreds animals' battle cry. Daichi recognised its meaning immediately and ordered all family members to hide inside an emergency bunker underneath the house that had been built exclusively for this kind of raid. Daichi armed himself and went into the forest to get Tetsuya who had been asked to collect wood. He wandered around and shouted Tetsuya's name into the forest when suddenly he saw smoke rising up from his farm. Finnaly, Daichi found Tetsuya who was told the terrifying news and together they made their way back to the farm to save the family. The terrible battle cries had already disappeared and the both managed to reenter the farm. Tetsuya and Daichi were totally shocked as they saw the house burning down to its foundation. Both prayed that the Orcs had not found the secret bunker and they bursted into the house to save their loved ones. Daichi saw that the hidden door was uncovered and opened. He entered the bunker and all Tetsuya heard after that was a terrible long cry that teared up the air around him, animal screaming followed by fighting noises and finally an opressive silence. Minutes passed by until he dared climbing down the moist ladder. He saw the most dreadful thing a conscious being could ever experience and moreover, he faced the ugliest and smelliest creature he had ever seen in his entire life. In just a fraction of the shortest moment Tetsuya recognised that the Orc was wounded an as fast as lightning he grabbed his father's sword and stabbed into its wound right into the stomach and the creature made a terrible scream before it fell onto the ground. Tetsuya had no feeling for time anymore. He stood all alone in that room with dead bodies, maybe minutes, maybe hours. So it happened that Tetsuya lost his whole family and he stood alone with nothing but his father's iron sword and a pickaxe he made by himself. A young man of 21 who would need to learn how to survive on his own or he should inaccessible. He digged deep into the ground and refilled the surface over him so nobody could ever find him. Over years, Tetsuya lived secretly and hid from other beings that passed by. He only left his hideout on order to obtain necessary ressources for building or food. And so Tetsuya fell to his passion of investigating the laws of nature and he discovered that all the wonders, every motion, reaction or else appeared to obey to certain laws. Laws that could be found out. Nature would then become predictable. Certain effects could be utilised to achieve specific objectives. The ability of recognition that had been given to the races of Aegis by God had lead to the birth of what shall be called "Scientia" from now on. And as Tetsuya's trust returned over the years he decided to establish a library where once he had settled to share all the knowledge he would acquire in the future for progress and the newborn spirit of Scientia shall introduce reason to all beings' minds and all sorrow and pain shall be extinguished in a peaceful and new future. :: :: The End
