1822 Orkish Magic TehLulu Ahad, 8th of the Snows Maiden, 1305 :: Written by Arch Mage Bell :: Prologue: The magic of the Orcs is derived from their beliefs, their connections with their ancestors and the spirits around them, both of the dead, of the elements, and of the living. Far more intelligent than they are often given credit for, the Magic-users of the Orcs are the Shaman. Maintaining their special connections to the world around them, the Shaman have a varied skill set, often relying on a specific element to which they maintain an affinity. Brave, strong, and widely respected, Shaman do not use their skills merely for offense, but are capable of a number of other spells as well. This book is dedicated to Dominus Bein'lur and the many Shamans of the Orkish lands, especially Shaman Tre'bok and Shaman Nel'thok, who have been of great assistance to me in my times of need. :: Every race has 4 levels or tiers of magic, each tier containing 3 spells. Four races, four levels of magic, four elements. For each race the magic is unique. Each spekk requires its own special actions and concentration to activate, and each tier of magic requires its own materials with which to activate it. Before one may move onto the next tier, they must master the first. :: Tier One. :: The first spell of this tier is the Blood Dance of Sanhar. Imbue one of your comrades with a more powerful atack for 5 seconds. This spell will take one-tenth of your mana and 1 gunpowder and requires a resting period of 10 seconds between castings. The second spell is the Dance of Frenzy, with which you may strengthen one of your brother's resistance to damage [0.5 damage reduce] for 5 seconds. This spell requires 1 Lapis Lazuli and will take one-tenth of your mana. You must rest for 10 seconds between each casting of this spell. The third spell is Poison of the Cacti, wherein you may poison an opponent [0.5 damage] for 3 seconds. Throw your poison cacti at your enemy, taking two-tenths of your mana, with a resting period of 10 seconds. :: Tier Two :: The first spell of the second tier is Blood Dance of the Nomad, wherein you may imbue your brother with a more powerful attack [0.5 heart damage buff] for 10 seconds. This spell with use 2 Gunpowder and one-tenth of your mana, and requires a resting period of 10 seconds between castings. The second spell is Advanced Dance of the Frenzy. Increase your brother's resistance to damage [0.5 reduce damage] for 10 seconds. This spell will use 2 Lapis Lazuli and take one-tenth of your mana. You must rest for 10 seconds between each casting of this spell. The third spell is Fire of the Shaman. Create fire in the flesh of your enemy, burning them for 3 seconds [1 heart DPS]. This spell will use 1 Flint and four-tenths of your mana. You must rest for 10 seconds between each casting. :: Tier Three :: The first spell of the Third Tier is Blood Dance of Sanjezal. Imbue your brother with the power of Sanjezal, increasing their attack power [0.5 hearts] for 15 seconds. This spell will use 2 gunpowder and one-tenth of your mana, and you must rest for 15 seconds between each casting. The second spell is Dance of Protection. Strengthen your brother's defenses [0.5 heart reduced damage] for 15 seconds. This spell will use 2 Lapis Lazuli and one-tenth of your mana. You must rest for 15 seconds between each casting. The third spell is Wolves of Krugmar. Let out a bellow and summon two large direwolves from Krugmar to attack your enemies for 10 seconds. This spell will cost 4 leather and three-tenths of your mana, and you must rest for 20 seconds betweem castings. :: Tier Four :: The first spell of the Fourth Tier is the Empowering Dance of Krugmar. Imbue your brother with a more powerful attack [1.0 heart damage buff] for 15 seconds. This spell will use 5 gunpowder and one-tenth of your mana, and you must rest for 20 seconds between castings. The second spell is Dance of Protection. Increase your brothers defense [1.0 heart reduce damage] for 15 seconds. This spell will use 5 Lapis Lazuli and one-tenth of your mana. You must rest for 20 seconds between castings. The final spell is The Final Ritual of Krug. Using your blood connection to the Father of all Orks, empower your friend with increased strength and defense. [1.0 heart damage buff and 1.0 heart reduced damage] This spell lasts 30 seconds and you will need 5 Lapis Lazuli and 5 Gunpowder to cast it. It will take one-half of your mana and has a 20 second rest period.
