205 The Adventures of Thedas Riverwind, Part 1 Willizl33t So my story begins as I, a travelling elf, go on a journey through all of Aegis! The first sight I came to was a vast desert and an amazing forest, the desert in the east, the forest in the west. The night was drawing ever closer, so I set up camp slightly in the desert, which was a mistake. Through the entire of the night, monsters stormed my tent, I fought for my life, and when the night finally ended, I feared for my safety, so I stashed all my treasure in a small opening in the cliff my tent was connected to. This was when I sealed it with stone, and continued forth. I was in the desert when I was approached by a band of Orcs, vicious, battle hungry Orcs. These Orcs demanded I leave their "territory", or risk death so, trying to stay out of danger, I left, but when I turned my back, the "dominus" (see The History and Culture of Orcs for more information on Orcish ranks) shouted "attack!" and the 5-6 Orcs killed me. Or so I, and they, thought! :: This is when I truly got to understand this force, what some may call God, some may call The Great One, but none know its true name, nor why it exists, or when it came to exist. Infact, there is so little knowledge about this diety, that some refuse to believe in it's existence. This diety was like a bright light, we could not see it, and it wasn't really white either, but its the only way for it to be explained in contrast of the void. Anyway, this "diety" caught me in my fall to death, and placed me in a temple known as The Cloud Temple of Aegis. That is what made me realise, realise how it was possible, realise there was still a chance! :: I knew that dark times were falling on the world, and as my family was killed when I was young, I had always wanted to prevent, and root out, evil at any cost. However I never knew how, or even if it was possible, but just a quick, ever so slight glimpse of this diety made me realise how, and I got the idea. It was like this diety had planted a seed in my mind, not literally, but mentally. A seed which grew, and as this "seed" got bigger, so did the idea I had. I was to start a group of knights, or templars if you like, who would give their time to helping others, stopping evil at any cost, and try to prevent the darkness coming upon the land of Aegis. :: This task seems like an impossible one at first glance, but if you break it down then it dosn't seem so hard! However, I had barely arrived in the land of Aegis and I was not very familliar with the land of it. So I took my first journey to Laurelin, city of elves, a place of tranquility and beauty. :: On the road to Laurelin, I met many other travellers, elves, dwarves, humans, and even an orc! The journey was a small, eventless one, there is not much point writing about it. Only the fact that I could marvel at how the forests were so tranquil, so quiet, the only noises were caused by the wildlife and other travellers. Everybody was friendly enough, and when I got to Laurelin, I was amazed at its beauty, the great trees, standing so high above all the other trees, and the mother tree, what a sight! It was indeed an amazing sight, one I highly recommend you go to see in your life! :: A few days on, and I had gathered some basic resources. I set out to find a suitable location for the castle where me and my templars would live. And I found one. On the road to Raven Hold, when you enter the desert, look for a tower which has The Desert Star at the top of it, you go in the direction of the tower from the road to the sea. This is where it would be built in the ocean, with a bridge going to it. All I needed was a name, Zoraida Castle, Zoraida being a word in a lost language, meaning "to purge evil". This was when I began the construction, it took 17 days to complete it, but it was an amazing sight when it was complete, the symbol of The Cloud Temple at the top, the water, symbolizing life, and the lava, symbolizing death. Seperating them is obsidian, which you can decide what that represents. Now, the templars, we would call ourselves "The Templars of The Cloud". However, before I would allow myself to finish this, I had created a task for myself, a type of pilgrimage, where I must travel for 3 weeks, and all the things I acquire through my travels, I must give as an offering to this diety. You must understand, not all the templars have to do this, only I, as I was trying to create this group, and so I start my journey, and the first part of my adventures end.
