This book will tell you the basics of being an Oren Guard . For there are many things you need to know. You will become a full guard when you have proved yourself in your duties. lets begin... :: Gate duty: This is one of the most important of your duties it keep the scum of the world out of the city. When on gate duty you ask the peron who wants in for their name and business, if they don't complie to this request they do NOT gain entry. You will also have to check their name out on the wanted list. If their is a non-guard in the gate house you must ask them to leave, if they refuse make them leave with force. If someone continues to come in the gate house you arrest them. If someone who you didn't let in, is in the city you must arrest them. :: Arresting: When arresting someone you cuff them. But first you ask them if they will come quietly. (If they say no you have to put *attemps to cuff then you and the law breaker both /roll 20 who ever gets the highest number is successfull so if the criminal gets a higher number you fail to cuff them if you fail just try again if they say they will come quietly you just instantly cuff them with out the rolling this is to stop power gamers) After you have cuffed them you take them down to the prison , you want to close the front doors so no one else can get in. Cell block 2 has the nicer cells but its your choice really. The Arrest goes first down the stairs then you tell them to get in a cell while doing this you have the block door closed. At the very end of the prison is the exacutor this is used to kill the extremely bad people, and undead. :: Rules: Having a sword out in public is against the law for citizens of Oren. At first just tell them to put their sword away, if they refuse its a fine. Citizens are not allowed on the roofs you must get them down. It is a fine or an arrest for refusing. It is your job to find out how much the fine is, this is due to them being changed. :: Patrolling: When on patrol you are out there to stop crimes happening on the roads. Something happens for example, there is a bandit attack. And at the sight of you they flee, you chase them to say a hideout or camp . Report the location to the Captain. If you come across undead do not engage unless forced to.
