In the beginning there was Krug and the great Desert he was born upon. The desert was mighty, it had slain all lesser beast's of the world. But Krug tamed the desert, through wit and awn, securing food and water. But all was not well. Krug's son's would die to the desert without help, and Krug could not care for them all. So krug gifted his second son and said " This is your boon and burden, you must guide your  brother's to safety, and so must your second son guide his brother, and so on in blood " and so the shaman's were founded, to guide and watchover their less gifted kin
