3156 Monsters and their weaknesses xzpepijnzx By Rivell Gordian :: ____________________ :: For people like myself, fighting hostile creatures in 1 on 1 combat isn't a very desirable concept. In this tome, I've outlined how to exploit their weak spots in order to kill them without requiring much combat prowess. :: :: Skeletons: These creatures require headroom to fire their arrows. Trapping them in a space with low ceiling (2 meter height will do) will cause all their arrows to richochet off the stone above them, rendering them harmless. :: Drops: 5-10 Minas, Leather armor, Bow, Arrows(1-5), Bones(1-5), Gold Ore, :: :: Spiders: While able to scale obstacles with a vertical slope, the bodies of these creatures often do not allow it to crawl through spaces humanoids can. Making a small (1 meter broad) space in the wall to hide in, you can strike at the spider while it uselessly claws at you, unable to reach you. Eventually, digging a 1x1 metre hole in the ground will allow you to strike the beast's belly while it won't be able to reach you. :: :: Drops: Minas (5-10), Pork, Cobweb (1-2), Diamond :: Zombies: While dangerous up close, even unathlethic humanoids find they can outrun the zombie as well as outreach it. Fighting it in the water slows the zombie down enough to strike at it without it arms ever coming within range. This way, the undead can be taken out and its spoils collected safely :: Drops: Minas (10-15), Coal, Chainmail Armor :: Zombie pigmen: Very fast and very dangerous. Unlike zombies, they might strike at you while in the water, so the above method will have less effect. The best way to get a pigmen is to trap it in a sufficiently deep (2 or 3 metre) hole and strike at it from above. The pigmen will not attempt to free itself and only rarely will fling its blade upwards to harm you :: Drops: Minas (50), Cobblestone (1-4), Smoothstone (1-4), Chainmail Armor
