Today is the day upon which we have finished the mainstay of the walls and the towers. Today, is when we finally have carved out, through tears, sweat, and blood, a place to call our own with in Aegis. From Valiant Lords to Simple Peasants, Warriors to Workers, the Exiled to the Exemplary, Humans to Halfings, we have united. We are the Cal'ek, we are Righteous, and we are One. :: :: :: :: Ahad, 29th of Suns Smile, 1313 Among the next few pages of this book, you shall find our history. We do not have the dates of the following events, only the order they happened in. :: :: The Warbands Origins: :: The Warband grew out of my personal pursuit for glory, and after seeing the state of Aegis, justice. I grew up in some swamps, deep in the south. Abandoned, or perhaps taken from, I never knew my birth parents. I was raised in the swamps by a band of Orcs who found me, and took me in as their own. They raised me as their own, replacing many of my naturally human traits with their own, removing greed, selfishness, fear, and cowardness, and replaced them with honor, courage, equality amongst races, and ferocity in battle. I set off when I was a young man, driven by my goal to bring honor to myself and the family that raised me. It was this which brought me deep into the heartland of Aegis, and this which drove me to seek out and rid the world of its fiends, thieves, and later, the undead.
