3343 (E4) The Undead Menace xzpepijnzx On the way to Al'Khazar I've come across a foolish dwarf who tried to sell the fungus his grubby hands picked off the infested floors. Turns out, this dwarf was the constructor of a Wizard Tower in Alras, dedicated to a craft he's been studying. :: He invited me and a hot-headed young human to show off his multi-floored creation, where I was exposed to typical dwarf hospitality (retracting the drawbridge, oh how hilarious). :: While the wizard tower, with its empty library, was rather uninteresting, the three of us then went to investigate the site of a very recent undead attack on the Storm's Army Fortress, near Kramoroe. The place was totaled by lighting and crumbling in a malignant blaze. The undead seem capable of bending fire and lightning to their will. :: Of course, of the perpetrator their was no sign, only of the ruin he caused. In itself, the scene was more than fascinating. I am left to wonder what else these undead liches are capable of. :: Tolta, 31st of The Deep Cold, 1322 :: It has been a few days since the brutal Undead attack on Kramoroe. The town is in ruins, sandstone crumbling and stray fires still consuming the once so vibrant structures along the roads. :: From a distance, I always had a undercurrent of respect for the Liches, being a nuisance of nobility and an inspiring instance of power that corrupts. After this raid, though, I realize they are little more than thugs, just thugs slightly larger clubs than the rest of them. :: My home destroyed, I will have to seek shelter somewhere new. Gah, the injustice. The great intellectuals wearing knapsacks as the farmhands sit pretty in their cursed shacks. :: The librarian and good friend Cerlos has offered me a room in his library. It is an attic room, no doubt cold and damp, but it will provide the shelter my home no longer can. I had visited Malco's camp, but this turned out to be for traveling merchants rather than refugees. My calling definitely does not involve pebbling trinkets to commoners along the road.
