3509 The Guard Rec. Handbook Vol. 2 - Promotion Tips henriiquen Being a full guard requires responsability and experience. This book isn't going to teach you how to become a full guard, but it shall help you reach out these requirements. :: :: 1 - Respect and Education. - The first and most important thing to a guard its Respect. ::Start working your respect to your superiors by completing the duties you're ordered to attend, and be sure to never disrespect any of them, that's the first thing you should know about respect. Also be respectful to our people, for they are citizens of Oren like every one of us. :: :::: 2 - Self Defense. - Every guard should know how to handle a weapon, especially if you want to be a Full Guard any time soon. ::It's a good idea to choose a weapon of your liking and start training with it whenever you are off duty. ::Since a guard can't do much with fragile weapons such as the ones made of wood or stone, I highly recommend you to master the Iron-made weapons , as those are more resistent and do more damage, in case you need to hurt anything, or anyone. :::: :: 3 - Survival. - A guard must know how to survive over many situations and places. This section is optional, but I'd like to recommend these training methods. ::If when you are hunting, or just training your weapon skills (like I've mentioned on the previous section.) you happen to come across some meat-edible animal, like the pig. I suggest you to harvest it's meat, or do some fishing if you don't feel like killing the poor creature, it will do you good if you don't have nothing to eat on your journey. ::Try doing some cooking for a change, that might give you some sense of survival and independence. :: :: 4 - Behavior. - A true guard always serves his kingdom with might. ::Always seek to help the people around you, but also expect some of them to be messing around. For that, you are granted the permission and also the duty to arrest and/or escort out of the city anyone who disturbs the peace. If you can't handle the arrest alone, always seek another guard or superior to help you out. :: :: And that is basically what you need to do in order to reach those "requirements" I have established on the first page, as long as you follow the tips found in this book and do your duties ( which can be found on the Vol. 1 of this Handbook ) for a good time, showing you're worth the job and have enough responsability to handle it. :: ::Keep up the good work!
