'Before Aegis'

.. Don't you wonder? Wonder how.. when it happened to each of us? :: We all wake up, in that one spot, in that hallway of the temple? How did we get there? I met a man, long ago who knew. He understood. :: He told me his story, from before he was here.. in Aegis... :: Or was he? :: He told me, he was born to a couple, out in the woods. Their house, in the woods, no one around. He grew up, learning how to work from his father, and learning to speak and write from his mother. He became very skilled with his sword, he was a prodigy. He would slaughter pigs for their meat, and cows for their hides. :: He became a ruthless killer, but he only killed animals, as there was no others humans around. :: One day, he awoke from a long sleep, the sun in his eyes. He got up made breakfast, and began his day as usual. He got dressed, and went out to the barn where he would find his father every morning. :: His father was not to be found. He searched franticly, and eventually gave up. He went back inside his house and sat at his table hands on his face, not knowing what to do. He heard a knock at the door, and through the small window in the door, he saw his father. Answering the door with excitement, he opened, to see his dad's head on a stake. :: Stumbling backwards, falling to the ground, he moved backwards to the wall, looking at his fathers head on the stake. Coming up the walkway, he saw to men, one with a bow, already aimed with a arrow. The other, sword drawn. He began to get up in a hurry, and he saw the men approaching in a sprint, he dived for his sword, when he felt a sharp pain in his back. :: His vision blurred, and suddenly, everything was black. :: Blinking his eyes open he realised he was on a hard standstone floor. He slowly got up, not sure of where he was. He walked foward, into the world, hoping to someday return to his old home.
