3801 Lothiriel's Exploration Notes, Book Two. TehLulu I have gone directly East of Kramoroe exploring now. Having already gone West to Dunwood, more North than more dare tread, farther South than the eagle flies, East was the last place to go. Immediately past Kramoroe I found something very interesting. A Wooden cross, upon it writ the simple words... "RIP Lynx." The same Lynx who was involved with Thork? Whom Thork supposedly held hostage? The very one I suspected of being a traitor and a distinct danger to my ward, Sadi? Perhaps. I ponder on this not too long though, for it is only prudent to search the immediate area. Scant ruins of buildings dot the landscape, and one grave writ "RIP -Unknown." And a circular shrine with a single tree, slabs enscribed: "Ex isto igne nasci In ignem autem non cadit." There are also many floating trees here which would anger my associate Uggg to no end. The immediate area holds nothing more of intrigue. I continue east. :: Some 100 meters east, a ruined building, the skeleton of what was once perhaps a fort. Perhaps 60 meters southeast, a quiant wooden bridge and path. The path leads east to a large mountain. It continues on in a southerly direction. I turn back to investigate the other end. The wood path leads west towards the area with the grave I discovered earlier. It dead ends, ceasing to continue further. It is nighttime but I cannot sleep, yet again. I'll keep going. Rather than follow the path south yet, I will continue east, down the beaten trail. Around the mountain and 100 meters or so east sits some sort of...unfinished construct. It is crawling with monsters, so I decide to delay investigating it yet. I take shelter in the trees nearby and to my north-east, roughly 50 meters, sits a town atop a hill. To my north-west, but 20 meters, sit a farm and home. Through the branches I can glimpse a pathway which seems as if it may lead from the home to the town. This area may not be as abandoned as the rest; there are things laying about. I will tread forward with caution. :: Odd that one would put a town up on a hill, as if to keep it from the world... Then place a pathway leading from it to the shore. I have already heard Nel'thok's account of wandering into places uninvited. So I believe I will observe quietly from a safe distance. ...Torches in the tree tops. That is never a good sign. ...Even less of a good sign, the best way I can describe this town, at least from a distance is ...militaristic. Drat. Someone on the walls. This is indeed an active town. Whilst hiding in the tree tops I can make out the outline of a rather large and imposing watchtower. But no, not like the kind in my stories, unfortunately... This one is built purely with application in mind, not aesthetics. It seems to connect to the town via a bridge on one of the lower levels. There appear to be only 2 or 3 larger buildings. And then perhaps a few smaller ones. I will have to find out if the construction I saw to the south of this town is part of it as well. On a separate hill, north of the tower which is north of the town, lies a large home, or other sort of building. The front wall is enlaid with glass, but it does not seem to be connected to the town or tower in any way. Military training area confirmed at the base of the Tower. Tower likely doubles as a watchtower for the general to watch training exercises. To the north-east, some 100 meters from the tower there is another house on another hill. Only accessible point to the first house is via treetops bit of a climb, too. Initial assumption was wrong, there is in fact a connecting point from the town to the home. It is in the back however, on the Eastern side Sign on building behind western branch reads: "Future location of the applied knowledge and research academy." The path goes south towards the tower and town. Hah!!! The Westernmost building is a library. A sign on the front reads: Books have been removed from the library. Regards, tesawa." I can relate to people who value knowledge so much as to perch it high upon a cliff. Metaphorical, in my opinion, though perhaps they just did it out of necessity. Their book count pales in comparison to my own, however. And I already own all the tomes they have stored here. Odd. There seems to be space missing. Enough room for something more from the outside, but there is nothing there, at least accessible to me, on the inside. Pardon, the sign outside reads: Books HAVE been moved from the old library. regards-tesawa. The pathway leads past the library and into the town. It seems fairly empty now, however. And I still have no idea exactly what it is. To Dawn's Bakery, Housing and Nord District? ...Thats not what I was expecting. Oh my. Someone appears to be here. The names upon the homes read: Glylith Mirtok Brutus Praxedis Tesawa Conan Darith ....Cataris conDoin. Heh. That confirms it but also confuses me. ...I do not think I have ever ran that fast before in my life. I do believe that while in the middle of writing and walking, I saw Sam, the man who essentially threatened my life for defending my friend, Nel'thok. As I was saying... Nel'thok told me he saw Cataris' name on a house. As I just have seen it. ...And more worrying, I have just received a note from Nel'thok... :: Lothi....I hope the city of my enemies treats you well...we will talk soon... The devil could this mean?! Did he know I was in that place? And is that in fact the place he travelled to incidentally? If so, why did they chase him out on his heels? The place seemed friendly enough. Though I was a bit nervous being there, all things considered. Nonetheless I can have no more of this fooling about. I must return to Krugmar. And speak to Nel'thok on this... All that I was able to see is listed here.
