For poor bookkeeping it is hard to tell whether Rex Lagrak'Ursin was the sixteenth or nineteenth Warlord of Krugmar, but the feat of his victory over Orgik"Shmed, wherein his skull was smashed like a watermelon, is a popular anecdote among orc children. Lagrak'Ursin had greater plans for Krugmar and in his lack of foresight intended to declare war on every nation of Aegis. Aware that the army's might was not capable of such victory, Lagrak'Ursin set about to breed a super army of Halfbloods.:: Honourable men, elves and dwarves were belittled to conceive with brutish orc women. The resulting offspring were a variety of odd-bodies, many that were too weak to survive beyond adolescence. Just as Lagrak'Ursin was on the verge of a successful brealthrough in combining a Mountain Dwarf with a Shaman, Warlord Krimpvlark lopped the Rex's head clean off and assumed control of Krugmar. The vile experiments were abandoned and the Halfbloods banished to live their days in The Wilds. Ostracised by even those from whence they descended, the the Halfblood Orcs became known as Brutes; violent bandits and thugs who murdered travellers unprovoked, for their hatred of the pure races waxed strong.
