4654 Shamus' Journal hughlorin Journal 1 :: :: From a small home blossoms a town. Beginning with just Daniel, Nero, and myself, we planned to stay in a small settlement to sustain ourselves and save up until we could afford a house in Al' Kazarh. That plan, however, has changes. In the city Nero, and myself to discuss the creation of a governmento met a perculiar by the name of Telinir. Nero, and myself to discuss the creation of a governmento made acquaintances with him, and invited him to live with us. He is an interesting man. Mysterious and somewhat suspicious, yet kind and fair. He invents, and studies many things. He has createed a device, called an ITCD, that allows you to talk to someone even when they are long distances away. He has other inventions as well, however he says those are classified. He seems to be a man of great brilliance. :: Not too long after, Nero, and myself to discuss the creation of a governmento met another two wanderes. He seems to be quite the social butterfly. The name of the men are Max and Boure. Max seems a little slow at times, and often wanders aimlessly. I don't know Boure very well, so I can't say much for him. He seems to be absent from the city when I am around. :: One more man, a hunter by the name of Olek. He ofthen roams into the forest in search of meats and other foods. He is rather quiet, but when he does speak it's worth hearing. I like him. He seems like a good hearted, hard working, and honest man. A great contribution to our growing city. :: So far, that is all there is to be said about our town, Talamh. I hope to see it flourish. :: Journal 2 :: :: It has been an eventful few days. Two more wanderers, by the names of Chanol and Ventris, have joined Talamh. Nero, and myself to discuss the creation of a governmento brought them in from Al' Kazarh. They seem to be happy individuals, excited and full of life. I haven't gotten to know them well as of yet, however my gut feeling tells me they will be a great addition to our town. I look forward to working with them. :: On another note, Telinir told me his hazard suit was destroyed by a Pigman in his lab. This is rather unfortunate, as when he died the blueprints for it were destroyed. The loss of his suit sets him back far in his research, as now he has to redesign the whole suit. I feel badly for him, the loss must be aggravating. I hope he can figure out how to reinvent it. :: Telinir also figured out why torches burn indefinitely. The magic fragrence acts as a fuel for them, and keeps them burning long after the coal is used. He discovered a way to harness this power and use it to create a new device, called the MOT. The MOT uses magic frangrance, a torch, and snow as a coolant in order to find any object the user desires. It's a rather ingenious invention. He also mentioned a substance called redstone. I've heard of it before, but only in myths. Telinir says it can be used to harness magical fragrence for specific purposes. From what I know, it can be used to open and close doors, power minecart tracks, and power lights and switches. I know not how it works exactly, though. Further more, it seems to be an extremely rare substance. Telinir wishes to find it, he says it will jump his research very far ahead of where he is at now. :: That's all I have to report for today. I hope to have more news as of tomorrow. :: :: Journal 3 :: :: Two more have settled in our city. One man by the name of Hiram, and another by the name of Father Ailean. I know neither of them, as Nero, and myself to discuss the creation of a governmento brought them in and settled them rather quickly. They do seem like good men, though. Both again, were wanderers. They seem to take a liking to us. :: The library/town hall building is finally finished. We've begun to fill the shelves with books, a few on the history of the town and it's citizens, some about lore and myths of Aeigis, and even some that Telinir donated about his findings on magical fragrence and inventions. It's a grand library. I cannot wait to see it filled with writings of fantasy and history. I hope that one day, this journal will be put in the library as a testament to the beginnings of Talamh. :: :: Journal 4 :: :: A terrible fate has befallen on the great city of Al' Kazarh. Screams of terror rose up from the unfortunate citizens. The Undead lead a vicious attack against the capital of Oren. Streets glistened with the crimson red of innocence. Mothers and and their children hid, praying the Undead wouldn't find them. Two great kings fell, although not both were so honourable. Fighting until his last breath, the king strove to protect his nation and his honour. The other king, however, turned out to be an Undead, turning on his loyal citizens. As quickly as they came the Undead left. The citizens of Talamh, frightened, gathered in the library. Amongst them was Telinir, Daniel, Nero, and myself to discuss the creation of a governmento, Jolot, Thondi, and myself huddled in the dark, careful not to raise our voices above a which he gladly accepted. We stayed and talked for awhile.sper. The great city of Al' Kazarh had been ravaged and destroyed by the Undead; what was to happen to us? We are nothing but a small town. Arguing and bickering filled the air. Soon enough, Daniel spoke up. He gave one of the greatest speeches I have ever heard. :: "Men, please listen. Alone, we are powerless against the Undead. But together, as one, we will fight. Not just as Humans, but along side the Dwarves, Elves, and Orcs. Only then can we overcome the Undead. All races are equal under Mother Nature; Elves, Orcs, Humans, and Dwarves alike. We must ban together and unite as one. Only then can we triumph over evil." :: The Light of Aeigis truly spoke through Daniel. Daniel's plea of unity and togetherness raised a new spirit, a new goal. For if we are together, we are unstoppable. Nothing shall get in our way. Not Ibelis himself. :: Later, an aliance was formed, dubbed "The Whisper Order". This order is a collection of brave volunteers who are willing to fight the Undead, even at the cost of their lives. Daniel, Jolot, Nero, and myself traveled to their headquarters and signed up as soon as we could. Anything to protect Aeigis. It seems many other people have signed up as well. It's good to see such patriotism among the people after such an attack. It seems as though the strike of the Undead has not split us apart, but instead created a unity amongst all citizens of Aeigis. Although what happened today in Al' Kazarh was a horrible tragedy, I fully believe that we will come back even stronger than before. The Undead better look out. :: The events of these last few hours make me think; what if this were to happen to Talamh? All the people I've come to know and share bonds with and all the hard work and effort we've put into the city would be worth nothing. Just the thought of losing them brings sadness over me. Hopefully, Talamh will never suffer that fate. I can only pray so. :: :: Journal 5 :: :: Al' Kazarh was again attacked by the Undead. I had the opportunity to witness the attacks first hand. The main street was a mess of zombies, skeletons, and pigmen along with the massive crowd of knights fighting them. I pulled out my sword and joined the fight, swinging at monsters left and right. But a lucky arrow hit my hand, causing me to loose my sword. I quickly ran to find another but I could not find a spare. I fought with my fists, I wanted to do anything to protect this city from the Undead. Towering over everything was a giant. I had only heard of them in myths and legends until now. The beast was huge, towering at least 4 stories tall. Knights surrounded the wretched thing, swinging at it with all their might. It was one of the most awe inspiring sights I had ever seen. :: Mobs stopped coming, the bloodshed had ceased. In the middle of the town square stood a blackened portal. No mortal tools could destroy it, and the people were in a panic. There, I ran into Nero, and myself to discuss the creation of a governmento, Telinir, and Jolot. We found a quiet space outside and discussed a plan Nero, and myself to discuss the creation of a governmento devised. Nero, and myself to discuss the creation of a governmento suggested that we sneek into the North and attack the Undead which he gladly accepted. We stayed and talked for awhile.le they were distracted. It was risky, but we decided to do it. :: We traveled back to Talamh, where we gathered supplies to make the journey, however I fell ill and couldn't make the journey. I saw them off and waited for them to return. Seeing a figure walking through the forest back to our town, I lept out of bed and went to meet it. It was Telinir, and he was the only one. The other two had gotten lost and injured. He had made it to the Nether, and BACK. He appeared exausted and frightened. He did not speak much. I left him alone for awhich he gladly accepted. We stayed and talked for awhile.le before he came and talked to me. :: We heard thunder in the distance. It seemed to be coming from the direction of the queens house. Nero, and myself to discuss the creation of a governmento, Jolot, Talam, Chanol, and myself decided to go and make sure she was safe. When we came up on the island, we ran into Dawn Perea and Hempshine. We asked them if everything was alright, and if they needed help. Dawn said she was alright. However, right after that lightning struck. The whole island shook. Fearing for our lives, we stayed the night with the Queen. Hempshine was not doing okay. He seemed psychotic, and was running around throwing objects around and screaming. The Queen had been taking care of him. The poor man... We made sure the Queen was safe and well, and we went back to Talamh in the morning. :: :: Journal 6 :: :: A meeting in the library was called between Jolot, Telinir, Daniel, Nero, and myself to discuss the creation of a government for Talamh. I'm going to spare the details, as it was a long and uneventful meeting, but eventually we decided on making Nero, Daniel, and myself the Lords. The three part government should work very well. It has a good balance. :: Today a man by the name of Reanon wandered through the city in search of string. It was late at night, and only me and Daniel were out. I told the man I had some, and went and got it for him. Daniel had to go to sleep, as he had had an exausting day. The night was dark and dangerous, so I offered the man to stay in my house for the night, which he gladly accepted. We stayed and talked for awhile. He was a young adventurer set on seeing the world. I remember when I had dreams of seeing the world- I still do. I'm still young at only 18 years old, I still have time. Anyways, Reanon's excitement made me smile. I knew he was going to enjoy his adventures. I hope he comes back and tells me of them some day.
