This book will go in detail on the basics, different techniques, safety, and the love of digging. Let's get started! :: Chapter 2: Safety :: As you know, digging can be a very hard task if not properly prepared. Here is a list of a few precautions you should take before heading into the mine for some digging. :: 1. Always make sure you have more than one pick. You never want to go with just one pick into a mine, because you might need it to find your way out and/or need it to get some extra ore before some other miner takes it. :: 2. Always make sure you have plenty of food.. You never know how long you will spend in the mine. Could be a few hours, days, even weeks. So always keep a stash of food. :: 3. Always bring wood. Wood is no where to be found under ground, so always keep a stash of it in your inventory. :: 4. Bring plenty of torches. There is no such thing as too many torches. :: 5. Bring a weapon. Whether it's a bow or sword, always bring a weapon. Everything from spiders to zombies can be found deep underground. :: 6. Return when you think it is necessary. Don't ever take a chance when you are about to enter a new area. Return your ore and other loot before exploring new places. :: 7. Always have a goal. What is the point of traveling deep undergound without a damn good reason for it?
