5795 The Last Words of Amras Ranovak Hello dear reader, for whom this book might have fallen into. I address you this book which once belonged to an officer in the Elven military, the Wardens. :: If you are in possession of this book, I have long since left the wardens. I have paid my final goodbyes to Quazar and other officers, and left in silence. Do not fear my reasons, they are not ill. I write this in the comfort of my library, as I pack for a life of wandering. :: My reasons for departure are mixed. I have grown tired of a life of bloodshed and battle, of warriors and rebels. I am an elf of peace, I have grown dull from the sounds of painful screams, from the war drum as we storm our enemy's bases. Now I write, I have given up my power as a war noble, and replaced it with the life of an ascetic. Do not fear, this is not the last you have seen of me, I will travel all of Aegis, searching for truth, and documenting it with my journal. :: I leave behind all my worldly possessions, so they do greater good for the wardens then for me. All possessions I carry in my tent; I give to Quazar to share amongst the wardens. My collection of books; I give to Elessar, the young elf hungers for knowledge. And most importantly; I leave my library in charge of Durzio, I hope I made no mistake in doing this. :: Now spread amongst the wardens are what used to belong to me, Amras'Tullum. I apologize for not saying a proper goodbye upon my departure but alas my yearning for a life outside the wardens has grown strong. Do not feel disappointed in my somber departure, I shall be back, not as a warden, but as a guest. Until that day comes I hope the wardens remain strong, and Malin guide they're path to justice and peace. :: My parents were both druids, maybe my journey will start there.
