5870 The story of the Obsidiors Gwonam_Blaze - :: As you are most likely aware, the Obsidiors are now an extince species, having dissapeared in the year 1037 without a trace. The reasons for this are still a complete mystery, however, the very pages of this will tell you the story of how the Obsidiors were born. :: In the year 874, a young, ambitious researcher, named Gavorv conjured the theory, that if you could give life to something made perfectly of obsidian, they would rapidly become the sentient species of the planet, dominating any life that dared to object. However, many others thought theory was flawed and could in no way be proven true, so was therefor declared 'False'. Gavorv, angry at all those who deemed his seemingly reasonable theory as false, spent the next 16 years of his life experimenting and researching obsidian to help in the revealation that his theory was true. Then, one day, Gavorv hit the pinacle of his research. He discovered that if you could re-arrange the fabrics of time and space, it was possible to mould obsidian into whatever shape one wished. Gavorv at once, summoned his colleague, Antir. "What is his masters will?" asked Antir. "Get your hunting gear Antir, we're going to find some Endermen..." Replied Gavorv. Endermen are fabled creatures, who are said to have recently warped to our world from another diamension, and are able to manipulate time, space and matter. "But sir, we aren't even sure if they exist yet!" Objected Antir. "Ah, but you see, we ARE sure... because i've tracked some..." replied Gavorv. They both set out, Gavorv leading Antir into the dark, deathly night. They soon came across a strange area in the woods, a large circle were the terrain was scattered and jagged. Within this circle, stood approximately 10, tall, slim dark figures with a strange purple essence deteriorating from their bodies. They all stood near a large, square structure in the ground, with many eyes protruding from it. Some of these figures were carrying chunks of things, earth, wood, one even appeared to be holding a pumpkin. "W-what are those?" asked Antir, completely spooked by these strange, alien figures. "These dear boy, are Endermen... Make sure you don't look directly at them..." replied Gavorv, completely un-phased by the strange beings. "What are they doing?" asked Antir. "I haven't any solid idea as to what they are doing, but i think they are trying to build a large frame of some kind, big enough to allow the larger creatures of their world to invade our world." replied Gavorv. "Shouldn't we stop them???" asked Antir, now truly affraid. "Do not fear my boy, the size of which the frame they are trying to build would need to be so massive, they would likely die before they even finished it, besides, i plan to 'stop' some of these creatures anyway..." answered Gavorv. Gavorv drew a long, metalic object from his inventory. Gavorv proceeded to rest this object upon his shoulder and point the end toward one of these creatures. "What is that?" asked Antir. every time? every time? "This, Antir, is what I call: "The wiseman's bow" ... Gavorv then pulled something on this "Wiseman's bow" and it suddenly emmited a loud bang. One of these tall mysterious being fell to the ground with the absence of a *thump* as it's comrades remained un-aware of it's death. "W-what on Aegis happened?" stuttered Antir. Gavorv chuckled, saying "Science just happened... come on, lets get him back to the labs... " When they returned to their morbid, messy lab, Gavorv revealed a large machine. "This Antir, is what i have been working on for the past 16 years of my life..." exclaimed Gavorv. "What is it?" asked Antir, both curious and mind blown. Gavorv told him of how this machine would drain the mystic energies of the Enderman, and would allow them to use it for themselves. They both placed the dead Enderman within a small chamber built into this machine. Gavorv then explained how the machine uses many 12000 volt redstone energy generators just to stay powered for a few minutes. Gavorv turned the machine on, and then the most ungodly of all noises started coming from the machine. It was so loud, that Antir was sure even the deceased Enderman could hear it. After around 5 minutes of this racket, a small red light came alive, and the machine stopped the hellish noises Gavorv then opened a small hatch, and retreived a small canister with a purple mist swirling inside. "Now, to show you my other work of art! Come over here!" said Gavorv, eager to show his colleague the pinnicle of his creations. He removed a large sheet concealing another machine, this one looking very peculiar. "This my dear boy, is what will turn one man into living obsidian!" exclaimed Gavorv. "What do you mean, Gavorv?" asked Antir, rather suspicously. Gavorv let out a long, deep sigh. "My boy, i'm not going to lie, my research has gone on long enough, and I think is is only right that the creator of something should be the first to test it..." replied Gavorv, with a rather sad look on his face. "Antir, you have been my greatest, most helpfull colleague, but we cannot work together for much longer, so I have one job for you, when I climb into this chamber, I want you too pull that trigge over there" Gavorv pointed toward a long, red trigger. "And I want you too wait, it will take a long time, but wait until the blue light turns red, then, I will need you to press the red button, and open the chamber door". "I don't understand, what will happen?" asked Antir nervously. "You don't need to wrorry yourself boy, all you need to do, is follow my instructions, and you will have fulfilled your duty as my colleague..." "I- I understand..." replied Antir. Gavorv then opened a small hatch, placed the canister within, shut it and climbed into the sitting chamber, closing the door behind him. As his master told him, Antir pulled the red trigger. The machine activated and began to emmit a calm, whirling noise. 6 years Antir waited, visiting the laboratory every day, checking to see whether that small blue light had turned red. Then, the day had come and the machine had stopped. Antir proceeded to open the chamber door, and inside stood a being, dark purple in colour, with glowing green eyes. The being, with amazing haste, grabbed Antir by the neck, and choked him to a slow, painful demise... He then stared into Antir's dead eyes with his own green gaze and slowly, but surely, his body began to turn into obsidian, until he too, was a being of living obsidian and they continued to find victims until there were at least 2 million of the obsidian beings. Then one day, they all stopped, and lived in the wilds, peacefully as as another race of Aegis. Despite giving themselves no name, all the other races refered to them as the Obsidiors. However, one day, they had all dissapeared without a trace and they have long since been forgotten :: :: The end
