History of House Drake

The House Drake was formed in 1013 by Ulric Drake when he was appointed Margrave of Eridell, a flourishing trading town situated on rolling plains not far from a dense forest. It was here in Eridell, where the Housed Drake grew into a powerful noble house. :: :: Margrave Ulric married a fair women named Wyia in 1015 and had several children, though all but Kair Drake, their first born son, perished in a dragon raid in 1032. :: :: Over the next 140 years, Eridell started to decline in prosperity. Constant attacks by bandits and tribes on both the town and the traders, gave the area a bad name. The decrease in trade casued tension in the town with many either leaving or others who started to rebell. :: :: In light of these events; in year 1173, the current Margrave, Standar Drake, sent his son and daughter away with his most trusted friend under instruction to keep them safe and take them far from Eridell.
