The first step to making a sword is to have the correct ratio of two materials :: Iron and Carbon :: The two materials fuse together and create what we call Steel. It is the Swordsmith's job to find the perfect ratio, as does a muscisian needs to find the perfect pitch to create a beautiful work of art. Steel enables the blade to have a far sharper edge and to withstand much greater stree without breaking or staying bent. :: Place the two materials in a mould and smelt it over a heat as strong as a lava bucket.
