7280 Meeting a Warlock Jerry_Man They're considered by those who lack understanding to be evil. Unfortunately in many cases this proves to be true.:: ::This Warlock was quite old, considering we expect them to be consumed by their lack of control while still young. It seemed as though he hadn't discovered that much of his potential by shrugging off some of his magic as simply tricks and useless entertainment; which in essence was how he went about discovering this dark potential. It seems obvious now that the only way to live long and safe as a warlock is to ignore the power within. But it will always be there, beckoning to be unlocked. :: ::Similarly to Arcane, more abilities and potential can be discovered in desperate circumstances. Wielders of Natural Magic seem to encourage its' use out of desperation, the concern placed on control only administered later.:: ::Certainly, we were both foolish to be engaging each other in the unhindered demonstration of magic. But our curiosities each towards the other's manipulation of magic drove out of him a potential that would have better been forever ignored: The Shadow. :: ::There are few I know of who have any control of shadow, and fewer still who are around to talk about it. All seem to be dragged away to their death, or to serve the shadow. In balance, the light posesses the same pull on mind and soul, yet it is often viewed as a noble pursuit, while the descent into shadow is announced as 'evil'.:: ::Whether of evil origin or not, his mind and soul were altered somewhat from summoning the shadow, even so much as a darkened blemish remains across his forearm. An emblem of the power that is held at his fingertips, the potential that he has ignored until now, the dark pull towards his own end that has only now been awakened. :: ::There is some truth to the myths we hear of Warlocks. All of them will eventually descend into madness, consumed by the power that surges through their blood.
