7293 Apprentice Journal Jon021 Kamees, 5th of The Grand Harvest, 1339 ::I was told I was supposed to write a Journal yesterday, and this is that journal. Yesterday's lesson was moslty an introduction to what we'll be doing today and this week.. Today, we'll be taking a test on Aegis's History. I spent all night in the Guild 's library studying. I hope the questions won't involve any modern history, most of which isn't detailed in the library. ::I turned the enderpearls my master ordered me to gather today. He promptly took me to the library to read all the books. After many hours of reading, I completed that task. He then asked me what balance was as a final test. I gave him my answer, and he judged it good enough. He says I am worthy of being a mage, but I haven't been in the guild long enough to become one officially. I only need to finish this week's lessons, and I can become a mage. ::Kamees, 26 of The Amber Cold, 1339 ::Ahad, 1st of The Deep Cold, 1339 yesterday's test wasn't as hard as I thought. I only missed two questions, and they were on Oren. I don't know Oren's history too well, and the library had nothing on it . Today we went on a field trip up to Alk'hazar. We stopped in an inn and Ogland told us about it's history. A knight named Soljir came there and fought off a number of bandits, saving it. When we came to Alk'hazar, Ogland noticed the blight. He hadn't realized that the Undead cursed it. We went around the city to the Tomb of Krees. He apparently served as Overlord under Iblees. Iblees is said to have been in his temple . Only after the Arcane mage eradicated it of monsters was it safe. ::Joma, 13th of Malin's Welcome, 1339 ::Today's lesson was about alchemy. We brewed harmful potions, and Ambros had us drink them. I wonder about some of his teaching methods. He did have some netherwort, something I need to brew actual potions . He ran out during the lesson, after some crazed zombie attacked. It appeared out of nowhere, and no amount of force behind my blade would harm it. I need more power to deal with such powerful beasts. Unfortunately, Ambros is being vague about when we'll learn magic. The power of potions won't work as well, due to the scarceness of netherwort, neccessary in everything. ::Tolta, 17th of Sun's Smile, 1340 ::Today's lesson was about balance. Ogland had us discuss for a while. I maintained that the Undead were the cause, but no one else seemed to be able to identify that. Ogland had to leave, and we continued our debate.
