I do not know what to say, really, other than the truth. First, my dear, I want you to know that I am safe, as are your sisters. But James... There was an attack on the village by monsters a few days ago. I was in the fields, and James was in his shop. The monsters came so quickly and with such force that we were all taken by surprise. The fields were sieged, and I escaped after beating corpses with my hoe. I found your sisters and we fled to the forest. When we returned, we found the village destroyed, with bodies everywhere. The butcher tells me that James grabbed his bow and did all that he could. He only fell when one of those fire flinging beasts got near him. Flora and Tabitha joined the battle near the end as well. We are safe now in a town nearby. Please, do come see me soon. Your sisters probably will move. I hope that you are safe. Stay strong.
