7360 The Story o' Gotrek DwarfGuy45187 Gotrek was like any other Dwarf, mined and smithed by learning it from their fathers. Now, this was very early in the dwarven years as most dwarves used stone pickaxes. News came from the mines of a new stronger ore...Iron they called it. Now, the dwarves had no way of smelting this ore, but after many ideas Gotrek came out with the idea of a furnace where it heated the ores so hot that it turned liquid, and then pours this liquid into a mold. From this mold was a square shape and made the new "ignots" they were called stackable. Now, Gotrek amazed the Dwarves again, by using the same heating idea to mold the ignot flat and then pounded out the sides to make the first, very crude, sword. Gotrek and a few others perfected this ability and named it Blacksmithing.... from all the black smoke they breathed when working. With these new ideas out, many new and wonderous tools were made to advance the dwarven empire. Weapons for the troops, and armor stronger than Leather, to protect them. After this Gotrek was named Paragon for his great ideas. He lived out his days working in the Great Forge which still stands today. He grew very old and died, but not without showing a new way to smelt an even stronger ore... Diamond.....
