7465 Alchemist's Compendium ElynxYon There are two parts to every potion; There is the base reagent, meant to boil into the vial to change the properties of the water, and then there is the secondary ingredient that finalizes the result. After countless and tedious months of experimentation, failure, and labor, I have found all of the reagents that are compatible with the brewing stand, and their properties. Here, now I write, to give to you the results of my work. :: :: The Base Reagents :: Fermented Spider Eye - Creates a WEAK potion base. This potion property is meant to lessen the positive effects of the secondary reagent and induces the negative affects. ::Glowstone Dust - Creates a THICK potion base. This increases the affects of the secondary reagent and decreases the durationn of the potion. :: Netherwart - This creats an AWKWARD potion base. This gives the seconday reagent no affect. :: Redstone Dust - Creates a MUNDANE potion. This type of potion decreastes the affects while it increases the durationn. :: Gunpowder - Creates a SPLASH potion base. This means this potion can be thrown and, from 3 to 5 square feet, affects the area it affects. :: :: Secondary Reagents :: Seconday reagents imbue an Awkward Potion with a particular effect and do not affect potion duration or intensity. When brewed with a water bottle, any of these reagents will produce a MUNDANE potion. :: :: Blaze Powder - The effect is strength. :: Ghast Tear - The effect is regeneration. :: Glistering Melon - The effect is Instant Health :: Magma Cream - The effect is Fire resistance. :: Spider Eye - The effect is poisoning. :: Sugar - the effect is speed. :: :: Tertiary Reagents :: Tertiary reagents are reagents that create negative tertiary potions when followed by a fermented spider eye. These are not recommended to be handled by alchemists of beginning level, and so, will not be found in this book, but in the Alchemist's Compendium Vol. II, which is for the more advanced of brewers. :: :: Alchemical Components :: Once you are sure you have all of the necessary ingredients needed to make a specific potion, you must then also make sure you have the proper equipment. These pieces include : A brewing stand, a glass bottle, and water. :: Some also cater to holding their water in a cauldron, but that is optional. As long as you have a water source, you do not need one. :: Up to three water bottles can be placed in the stand, and the ingredient is set atop the stand to brew out and distill into the water. This is key for making your potion. ..
